Memories of You

I remember the time when you were a baby
How we played where'd Cassie go
You hid under your blankie and giggled so
How you first Laughed when mommy sneezed
These are the memories I hold close to me
I remember when you first walked
I remember when you first talked
You were all over the house and into things
The only one who could understand you was me
We grew so close with a bond so true
Mother and Daughter, Me and you
We laughed, We played,  day in and day out
We colored and sang, happiness without a doubt
I remember your first Valentine and Easter card too
How special it was because it came from you
how you used to say "I'm not Tired"
then seconds later be fast asleep
Your sweet little voice that woke me each morn
asking quietly for something to eat
The fun we had us silly to
I miss the fun, I miss you
Yes my dear these are the memories I keep
For you For me and our bond so deep

For Cassie
